The small town of Mount Gretna, PA is known for many things — but perhaps most appreciated for its great front porches.
We spent the last few months in and around Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania and New York. We drove by so many things...there we so many pictures untaken! But here's a few we did get that are worth sharing!
SIMPLE LIFE
What is it about being close to the water that makes everything seem a bit better? Over the last four months we've managed to visit beaches on both coasts — and right smack in the middle of the country. Here are some of them....
We took a short hike today through the dunes at Grayton Beach State Park along 30A in the Florida Panhandle. It was 30 degrees and quite windy so we were happy to enter a small grove of trees. We were delighted to find a sign with this prayer on it.
As we round out our first year on the road, we've reflected on our "best & worst" experiences and what we've learned.
EXPERIENCES
What better place to see the total solar eclipse of 2017 than in the most visited National Park in the US!?
We had planned to spend six weeks enjoying the lovely weather in the Catskills of New York. Sadly, we had our first full-on housing fail and only spent three days. But the weather was indeed lovely!
On April 29th, we joined together with some family — and 200,000 friends — to take part in the People's Climate March in hot & sunny Washington, DC.
