Cape Disappointment
On January 5, 2015, we - Curtis, Rufus and Wendy - launched a life experiment that entails working while exploring across the USA. (Sadly, Rufus is not welcome in other lands.)
As we prepared to start our life as "digital nomads" - we haven't yet found a name for it that doesn't sound obnoxious - we were surprised by how many kind fellows asked if we would be blogging. Polite interest? Time will tell. In any case, here we are. A blog.
Curiosity seems to be equally related to a) our planned travel and b) downsizing and integrating life a bit differently. So, we do our best to periodically write about both.
Recognizing that not everyone wants to be a character in our online story, most of the time we don't use names, unless we've had the chance to ask in advance.
Curt hates writing, Rufus tries, but...in the end, Wendy does most of it. Curt is our location scout, so most of the information in the places section is thanks to him.
Finally, and importantly, BIG thanks to Wendy's friend and colleague Yvette, for the inspiration for the name.
Update: In December 2018 we decided to put some roots down for a while. We wanted to give Rufus, then 15, a bit of a break. We also felt it was time to stop moving for a while — but anticipate going back on the road again...
