Our Favorite Photos from June!

We didn't feel like we did that much in June, but after looking through our photos we changed our minds.  Yeah, we did!  We hit the road on July 1st to spend two months in Cortez, CO.

Last stop in Arizona...the Blue Mesa in the Petrified Forest National Monument

We did a lot of hiking in the Santa Fe National Forest. Aspens are the first trees to come back after forest fires, and were abundant in the higher elevations (10,000ft!)

We enjoyed the city life of Santa Fe — including lots of art. (Meow Wolf)

Bandelier gave us the unique opportunity to explore cliff dwellings first hand..and test our climbing skills.

Kasha-Katuwe/Tent Rocks is one of the coolest places we've been. Never seen anything like it..and you get to travel through slot canyons to get to these great views!

We visited lots of chapels and churches, some dating back to the Spanish era. (Santuario de Chimayo.)

And were amazed by thousands of Petroglyphs carved 400-700 years ago by ancient Pueblo people.  (Petroglyph National Monument.)

We played tourist and visited spots like Nambe Falls, on the Nambe Pueblo.

And were truly blown away by the beauty and wildlife of Valles Caldera.
