Fungus! — To whoever is not listening to the sea

During our time in Asheville, we regularly saw three things on our hikes — butterflies, flowers and fungus! Asheville offers foraging tours of wild plants and edible mushrooms ($75/person), but, seeing as Wendy hates the taste of mushrooms and Curt is indifferent to them, we skipped that. We did enjoy photographing them, though. Trying to name them was a whole other adventure. We did our best, but feel confident we got most of them wrong. (There are over 10,000 mushroom species in the US!)
