Pioneertown, CA
Curtis and Rufus on "Mane Street"
Founded in the 1940's by two actors, Pioneertown, CA is a town built around a western movie set. It's said that Roy Rogers was in attendance to break ground on the first building. There is a "mane" street that makes up the majority of the town - with some private houses sprinkled in among shops and old sets. We found the most interesting aspect of the visit to be public art project in an empty lot. To learn more, scroll down....
